Your natural stone surface is millions of years old. And it’s your very own slice of nature. Unsightly damage can easily be caused by using cleaning products which are not formulated specifically for natural stone surfaces.
Natural stone is formed of delicate minerals that can have an adverse reaction to cleaning products such as vinegar, window cleaners, dishwashing detergents, generic neutral cleaners, degreasers, acidic-based cleaners and many others; therefore, it’s vital, your stone surface is cleaned and maintained with products specifically manufactured for stone surfaces, such as Professional Marble Cleaner, Anti-Bacterial Surface Cleaner, Fine Stone Cleaner, Natural Stone Cleaner or Professional Care & Maintainer)
It could be a big mistake if you were to use one of the many neutral cleaning products available to you from the janitorial industry or off the shelf from your local shop. Because, in the main, they’re formulated as cleaners for soft, non-porous surfaces, totally unlike stone.
But, specialised stone cleaners are specifically formulated to not only clean the surface but also to penetrate deep into the cavernous pores of the stone, to delicately extract the dirt and soils out. Stone cleaners clean the surface, the pores and the small intricate crevices which are produced over the years by mother nature, thus providing a safe and beautiful looking stone surface.
